Canussa – Vegan Reversible Belts

Novacas – Vegan Leather Belts

Novacas has a range of classic non-leather belts for men and women. My favourite is this western-inspired vegan belt that’s ethically handmade in Portugal with EU Ecolabel certified sustainable materials. Novacas is the house brand of Moo Shoes, a vegan-owned store on Lower East Side of Manhattan. Moo Shoes carries a collection of 100% vegan belts from other brands that are also listed here!

Ashoka – Apple Skin Belts

If you’re looking for vegan leather belts where sustainability meets luxury then Ashoka is where you’ll find it. The French luxury vegan accessories brand has a selection of apple leather belts for women in a variety of colors.

von Holzhausen

von Holzhausen makes vegan belts for the modern minimalist. Their simple and high-quality non-leather belts are made from recycled plastic called Technik-Leather which they claim to be a 100% vegan and sustainably-made performance fabric designed to capture the essence of leather.

Matt & Nat – Vegan Leather Belts for Women

Canadian vegan fashion brand, Matt & Nat carries a line of women’s belts in various colors and styles. I own a couple of their belts and they’ve held up quite well from my experience. But note that Matt & Nat doesn’t disclose on their website what type of vegan material they use to make their belts or where their vegan belts are made from, the label on my belts from the brand says “Made in China” and “100% Polyvinyl Chloride” (PVC).

nae – Vegan Belts

Whether you’re looking for a vegan leather belt, vegan suede belt, or a braided vegan belt, nae has a great selection to choose from! Many color and style options to shop from. They’re all beautifully hand-made in Spain with ecological and resistant microfiber, in a system free of CO2 emissions.

Corkor – Cork Belts

Handmade in Portugal, Corkor’s beautiful sustainable vegan belts are made with genuine cork and the company offers a 2-year warranty ensuring the durable and resistant material and craftsmanship. Corkor has styles for both men and women and they all come in classic black, brown, and light brown.

Will’s Vegan Store

Will’s offers a variety of vegan casual and dress belts for men and women. Their belts are ethically handcrafted in Portugal, with Italian vegan leather made with plants created with bio oil sourced from organic cereal crops grown in Northern Europe in a carbon neutral process.

Most watch straps are made using leather derived from animal skin, so in order to find a cruelty-free watch, I had to look for vegan leather watches made with synthetic and/or considered materials.

Thus, began my search for vegan watch options! As a result, I found 8 vegan-friendly watchmakers that have created some of the most stylish yet functional timepieces using a variety of vegan materials!k

Doshi Square Reversible Vegan Belts for Women

Currently, Doshi carries two different styles of vegan belts for women. They have a gold ring wide belt and a square reversible belt, both available in multiple colors.

I received Doshi’s square reversible vegan belt in pink and brown to try, which is the one photographed and shown in this post.

Color: This is a reversible belt, so one side is light pink and the other side is maroon brown. Attached is a silver buckle. This belt is also available in multiple colors and gold buckle option.

Materials: Made with non-leather and vegan materials. Synthetic. Microfiber PU leather.

Size: The belt is 1″ wide. I got size 28. I usually wear size 26 jeans and Doshi recommends getting one or two sizes above your jeans size. Available belt sizes: 28, 31, 34, 37, 40.

Fit: I’m seen photographed wearing Doshi Square Reversible Belt with one of my lower-rise jean shorts, the belt fits perfectly in the last hole. I’ve also tried the belt with a pair of high-rise and it fits neatly in the second-to-last hole with not too much overhang.

The belt is quite sturdy and durable, I will say though, it doesn’t have much of a stretch to it. That’s good for keeping my pants up but not so much when I overindulge on some vegan pasta.

Reversible Belt: It’s super easy to switch the belt strap around to use either sides. No tools needed. There’s a clamp on the buckle that you can release with your fingers. I love the idea of getting two belts in one!

However, I noticed that when I switched the strap around, the stamp on the brown side that reads “First Five For The World” is upside down. If I had put on the belt on my right side first, then the words would’ve read right-side-up. The words aren’t that noticeable so this is a non-issue for me but thought I should mention it.

Quality: I am pleasantly surprised by the quality of the belt and its materials. I’ve worn it a handful of times already and there are no peeling, cracking or any signs of wear and tear, except for some minor scuff marks around the bottom trim. I think this is common for white or light-colored belts and the pink is fairly light but I was able to remove the marks with a damp cloth. I don’t see this being an issue if you get Doshi’s black vegan belt.

Packaging: The belt comes in a cardboard box made with 95% recycled content and a white dust bag.

I’m overall impressed with the quality and durability of Doshi’s vegan belts! Most of my other non-leather and vegan belts will start to wear down after just a couple of uses but this one is holding up well so far! The style of this belt can be worn casually or for work/professional attire. It’s both functional and practical.

I love the clean and minimalist style of this watch. The clean lines give this timepiece such an elegant and sophisticated look. I can wear it casually or dress it up.

I really like the design in the dial and how the hour marks are these narrow straight lines, complemented with the choice to use Roman numerals for the 6 and 12-hour marks really brings together the minimalist style.  Everything about this watch design is contemporary and intentional. I love it!

I also wanted to point out the small dial is just for aesthetics and doesn’t have any other function.

I have a very slim and small wrist diameter, which I am a little insecure about so I try to avoid bulky watches or bracelets with a thicker band. That’s why I opted for the Amalfi Petite Vegan Collection and I think the elegant and dainty slim wristband is just what I need!

The watch is very comfortable to wear and to put on with one hand. The faux leather strap is flexible but sturdy and fits nicely in the buckles.

I am wearing the watch on the last fitting hole which is sitting a little higher than I typically wear my watch, but again.. going back to how I have very small wrist.. this has always been an issue for me. If there was just one more hole, it would’ve fit more perfectly on my wrist.
