It also helps you save animals, protect our planet, and be kinder to your skin by using a product that is more natural, gentle, and better for you.

I was looking for age correction and tried No. 7 serum. I love the product but had no idea it was owned by a subsidiary of Walgreen’s. I then purchased their retinol product and noticed there was no mention of animals or cruelty on the packaging or insert. This led me to your article. An issue for me is price, I need to find a good serum and basic moisturizer which are effective, reasonably-priced and cruelty-free without ties to companies which test on animals…Thanks for your work!

This is something I struggled with myself but for the last few years I’ve had two feet firmly in the ‘don’t support them camp.’

I think, sadly a lot of consumers don’t know these companies are owned by animal-testing parent companies and would be horrified to find out. I find it so hurtful and it makes me so angry when a brand I’ve supported for years (REN) sells out but continues to preach ethical credentials. It’s like they’re tricking the consumer. And the lady from Ethical Elephant saying she’d not have sold if she couldn’t retain her cruelty free status.’ She’s completely turned her back on her ‘ethical’ credentials and she knows that. She’s insulting consumers further with PR spin.

I also think investment in these cruelty free brands, by the parent company, and allowong them to continue operating cruelty free, is purely because the parent companies can then get money from eithical and non-ethical consumers. It’s simply more market share. They’re not looking to change, which is deeply sad. It’s 2022 how is anyone still testing on animals! It shouldn’t be a brand or consumer choice, it should be illegal.

Definitely BOYCOTT.

I don’t support this, it’s bad. Sadly Estee Laurer and L’oreal have a LOT of brands under them. This make buying so difficult

It’s ALL avoidable. It’s 2020 – WAKE UP WORLD!!! There are SO MANY CHOICES of products that do not contribute to this cruelty and betrayal.

EVERY dollar we spend creates the type of world we want to live in. Collectively, we can stop this unnecessary abuse.

**********I DO NOT support “cruelty free” companies whose parent company tests on animals. *************

I love the products but would prefer not to buy following reading this article. I knew that they do not sell in China which was another good point but I am resolved never to buy again.

Furthermore if animal testing is banned in the EU, then countries within it should not allow any such product to be on sale nor support any bran / organisation that allows this on any of its products anywhere in the world.

me all the necessary information. In my opinion, it is better to
be ready for all of the unexpected scenarios in advance, so thanks, it was fairly cool.
