I have no clue what companies to trust anymore because there all so deceptive and change their policies on testing on animals so frequently I’m to the point I quit using cosmetics and only buy other products I believe are telling the truth as far as they don’t test on innocent feeling helpless creatures and they are indeed vegan products as well! But then I find out after spending a small fortune on these products that they were lying as well or they went back to testing on innocent feeling helpless creatures again! How do I and my thousands of Facebook vegan friends find out the truth?

To be certain that a cosmetic product is PETA certified cruelty-free, please check PETA’s website where Love Beauty Planet is listed: http://features.peta.org/cruelty-free-company-search/cruelty_free_companies_company.aspx?Com_Id=7176

Our commitment applies to the whole brand, regardless of whether a PETA Cruelty Free logo is on the pack. The PETA Cruelty Free logo will begin to be seen on some of our packaging progressively to assure and inform our customers that Love Beauty and Planet does not, and will not, test on animals.

To earn the PETA certification, brands need to meet the PETA criteria. First and foremost, you need to show that none of your products are tested on animals and that your suppliers are not doing any animal testing on the materials they provide to you.

Hi,

I am in Shanghai and have seen they stock Love Beauty & Planet at the supermarkets. I understand that China requires animal testing by law but the Love Beauty & Planet bottles here have the bunny logo on them. Therefore I am very confused by their cruelty free statement…

In reply to Sarah. So I did some further digging on PETA’s logo. It doesn’t seem like their logo holds much water, not to me anyway. I really started to wonder how in depth they look and wondered if they were in it for the money. They charge the companies to use their logo and don’t check much of anything. Surprising but not, at the same time.

I bought this the other day because it was on sale for 1/3 of the price, I thought I had looked into it thoroughly enough but for some reason I completely missed the fact that it was made by unilever ???? Had I not already used some of the product I would’ve gone ahead and refunded it but it was already too late! I’m disappointed not only in myself for not seeing the red flags earlier but also in unilever for making claims that their product is certified cruelty-free but with no certified cruelty-free logo!

It really sickens me the way Love Beauty and Planet is being marketed (at least over here) as totally cruelty free.
It’s just deceitful + I hate to think how many well-meaning shoppers will be duped by their fake image. Veganism is a philosophy, not just a diet.

First off, I wanted to thank you for writing this post. I am saddened to discontinue my use of this product, but know that it is for the greater good that I do. How unfortunate it is that so many companies continue to test on animals, contributing to needless suffering for corporate profit. As much as I had loved using this product, I take more pride in a clean conscious. Let me and other readers alike know of any changes in their policies, please. Thank you for the informative read.

I saw these today at Target and I have to say I was almost sold until I saw they are owned by Unilever!! Red flag!! And it says plant-based ingredients! I’m like wtf?! Good product but bad company! No way are they getting my money! Nope! Also beware…Unilever also owns Ben & Jerry’s ice cream…
